Montyz Music — One Site, Three Audiences

A Brighton & Hove music tuition company needed a single website that could talk to schools, parents, and aspiring young musicians — without confusing any of them.

The Challenge

Where Things Stood

Montyz Music runs in-school music clubs and private tuition across drums, bass, guitar, ukulele, keys, and vocals — plus a "Join a Band" programme for kids who want to play together. That's a lot of ground to cover for one website, and the old setup didn't make it easy for any of the three people who actually land on the site: a school office coordinating a lunchtime club, a parent deciding which instrument suits their child, or a keen young player wanting to join a band.

Without clear instrument-by-instrument pages or an obvious next step for schools versus parents, visitors were left to piece the offering together themselves — not ideal when the whole point of the site is to convert curiosity into a booked lesson.

The Approach

How We Solved It

A mobile-first rebuild structured around instruments first, audiences second.

Step 01

Mapped the Real User Journeys

Before touching design, we separated the site's three real journeys: a school booking a club, a parent researching lessons, and a young musician wanting to join a band — each needed a different entry point and tone.

Step 02

Built Instrument-Led Navigation

Rather than burying the offering in one long "services" page, we gave Ukulele, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys and Vocals their own clear place in the structure, so visitors can go straight to what interests them.

Step 03

Built Out Schools & Parents Content

We wrote and structured dedicated information for schools (how the in-school clubs run) and for parents (what to expect, age guidance) so each audience gets exactly the reassurance they need.

Step 04

Launched Mobile-First

Parents and school staff overwhelmingly browse on their phones between other tasks, so the whole build was designed mobile-first and tested down to small screens before desktop polish.

The Result

A Look At The Final Site

The finished site gives schools, parents, and young musicians their own clear path in rather than one long page to dig through. Each instrument has its own home, the "Join a Band" call-to-action sits front and centre, and the whole experience holds up on a phone screen just as well as on a desktop — which is where most parents and school staff actually browse.
